Our Christmas tree substitute.
A few years ago we stopped buying real Christmas trees because I had to travel the day after Christmas. We found some plastic pine and decorated my mannequin with what we had around the house - this is a tradition here now...reuse and recycle and we all love it. On the 23th I went into town and I got the huge star for free and that makes her something special this year.

Winter babushka
I made my babushka in recycled bike inner tube. I gave the babuska a big PalePink heart, a back pocket and a palepink scarf so the she will stay warm during winter and not catch a cold.

My most cherished possession
What is my handmade possession I cherish the most....
Here is my answer
"A while ago I was cleaning out my supply closet when I came across pile after pile of yarn. I knew a friend of mine had a knitting project so I gave her the many pounds of yarn expecting nothing in return… but after only a few weeks she presents me with an absolutely beautiful knitted and crochet blanket. She had put her own project aside to make this enormous blanket for me with some of the yarn I’d given her. I adore it and it is now my very most prized possession. "

Fish and verdigris copper pendant for bike inner tube necklace (or any necklace)
I wanted to add some color to the black bike inner tube necklaces, and created this pendant out of a fish and copper with verdigris patina. You can easily attach it the days you are in the mood for a little more than black.

Bicycle inner tube leaf necklage, handcut.
Last night I couldn't sleep. I had a scissor and a bike inner tube near by, and I began to cut. You know, sometimes when you are just not in the mood something happens and out came this beautiful necklace full of leaves.

Flowers
As you will know by now I love summer, and I love flowers. My recycled bike inner tube flowers have some colors now too. A green colored leather cord gives those cute flowers a little extra. The flowers can be mowed around, that means this necklace can change and you have many different looks in one.

Flea marked gold...
I love it and I do it at least once a week...go to a flea marked. I can always find something that I think is GOLD and have to have. But I really try hard only buying things that I really can use (or plan to :-)
Right now I'm really in love with old hand embroidery. Cross stitch pillows, pictures and anything else with embroidery. I plan to use it together with my bike inner tube books and decorate the books with it. It sounds a little strange I know, but as soon as I get time I'll make some samples and keep you updated.

Bike inner tube jewelry
I have started to make jewelry of bike inner tube again. I did that some years ago, but I think time has come to make them again. They will look cool together with my bike inner tube note books.
The first one is made out of one bike inner tube. It is cut and is in one piece and it has a patch too.
I love the idea of recycling "trash" into jewelery and thereby doing a little bit extra for the environment. By wearing this hip and modern necklace, you will not only look great, but also show the world that you care about our beautiful planet.

New design - wallet.
I have made a new design in bike inner tube - a wallet. There is room for 3 creditcards, one room for receipt and other kind of small papers, and a large room for all your bills. A colorful elastic, like the notebooks, for closure.

My little angel...
I love angles and hearts. I paint angles, I sew hearts in many shapes and sizes. I went to a huge fabric store the other day, and found pale pink fabric with hearts - it's very much as far away from bike inner tubes as possible I think.
I made a pair of beautiful angle wings.....
...and suddenly I got the idea of making angle wings for a small book....

Bike inner tube again
I love to reuse and recycle and take care of our planet. My new series of books is made of bike inner tubes, blank paper and felt. They can be very masculine in black only and with a nut as page divider, but they can be very feminine as well depending of the colors.
The size of the book is approx 8 x 12 cm (3.1 x 4.7 inch) and it has 360 blank pages (counted both sides).
